About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Town Planner to join our team at Rose & Young Recruitment Ltd. As a Town Planner, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our clients' properties and developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals on behalf of our clients.
  • Provide expert advice on planning matters, including prior approval applications and pre-application engagement.
  • Conduct site assessments and development potential analyses, including planning histories, policy analysis, and interpretation of material considerations.
  • Liaise with case officers, clients, and consultants to ensure timely project updates and third-party reports.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to increase knowledge of planning law and practice and identify opportunities for growth and development.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate Town Planning qualification (RTPI accredited degree preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of planning experience, with at least 18 months in the private sector.
  • Excellent IT skills and proficiency in relevant software.
  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to assist and interact with colleagues.
  • Ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Proactive approach to work and a flexible team player.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
  • Good keyboard skills and report writing abilities.
  • Knowledge of architectural software and design principles.
  • Previous work experience in the private planning sector.
