About the Role:

The Fire Service College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of College Liaison Officer. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our training delegates, ensuring their needs are met, and serving as the link between the Fire Service College and clients and international delegates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting instructional staff to deliver high-quality training and customer service to our delegates.
  • Coordinating with clients and international delegates to ensure a smooth and successful experience at the Fire Service College.
  • Providing administrative support to the department and assisting with daily tasks to maintain the management and organization of the FSC.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety Policy and ensuring that venue hire contractors adhere to the policy.
  • Conducting risk assessments and ensuring safe practices are followed within the grounds of the FSC.
  • Managing accidents and near misses, and recording incidents in the safety management system.
  • Ensuring the safety of employees and visitors on FSC premises during venue hire activities.
  • Conducting building safety inspections and ensuring equipment and vehicles are used correctly on FSC grounds.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends, as needed.
  • Good general IT literacy and proficiency in using various software applications.
  • Experience or knowledge of health and safety activities and practices, particularly in the fire and rescue sector, is beneficial.
  • Provision of consistently high standards of customer service and experience working in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience working in a constantly evolving workplace environment and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Valid driving license and experience working in a training environment or in the Fire Service is beneficial.
  • Experience conducting or writing risk assessments is beneficial.
