Production Laminating Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Laminating Engineer to join our team at Red Bull Racing & Technology. This exciting opportunity will see you play a key role in the creation of achievable and efficient laminating processes, providing front-line technical support to our manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create all laminating manufacturing data – laser projection ply boundaries and target files, templates & nested ply files, consistent with the Laminate Manual / Design
  • Provide shop floor support for the laser projection process
  • Understand the Laminate Design, review manufacturing data alongside Laminate Designers and Laminate Manual before data release to ensure manufacturing data will deliver design specification
  • Support the creation of master routings, including working with manufacturing to specify estimated production times
  • Support laminating during first-off manufacture to investigate issues identified
  • Collate and challenge manufacturing feedback to enable justified, actionable feedback to Laminate Design at the appropriate points in the design lifecycle to drive process and design for manufacture improvements
  • Lead structured problem-solving activity to determine the root cause of process issues, reported from NCR/Fault or time delays. Work alongside Quality and Laminate Design to ensure laminating processes will produce the right quality part, first time, every time

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include a race bonus scheme, private health care cover, life assurance scheme, company contributed pension scheme, on-site gym & fitness classes and free daily food allowance.
