Transform Lives as a Children's Home Registered Manager

CareTech Group is seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Registered Manager in a residential children's home. As a leader in the field of care and education, we provide tailored pathways for young people to empower and enable them to reach their full potential.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive care plans that cater to each young person's unique needs, fostering consultation, and allocating key workers. You will also maintain high standards of care, handle complaints and concerns, collaborate with stakeholders, and participate in meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Developing comprehensive care plans that address each young person's care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs
  2. Fostering consultation to ensure young people have a voice in their care
  3. Allocating key workers to implement childcare plans
  4. Maintaining high-quality care standards in line with National Minimum Standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose
  5. Handling complaints and concerns in a fair and transparent manner
  6. Collaborating with parents, carers, and other professionals to promote the welfare of young people
  7. Participating in child care planning and review meetings as appropriate

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • SQF Level 9 qualification in Children and Young People or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience at Assistant Manager level or 4 years' experience including a supervisory role
  • Leadership and motivational skills
  • Wide knowledge of children's needs and intervention strategies
  • Working knowledge of legislation related to child care, including National Care Standards and GIRFEC
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles
  • Ability to apply systems and processes within residential homes compliant with national care standards
