This is a unique opportunity to support a high-profile statutory Public Inquiry investigating Scotland's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ideal candidate will have a flexible and adaptable approach to work, supporting the Solicitor to the Inquiry and a team of assistant solicitors, as well as assisting Counsel and working directly with the Counsel on their respective portfolios on investigative work streams.

This role will work as part of the Inquiry legal team to ensure the efficient delivery of outcomes. Key Responsibilities include assisting solicitors and Counsel with consideration of evidence and preparing reports and documents, working with solicitors to take witness evidence, and liaising with secretariat on operation of core participant applications.

Essential Criteria include the ability to carry out tasks independently with minimum oversight, remaining calm under pressure, and having a strong understanding of Scots Law and experience working within a Scottish Law firm.

We offer a competitive salary and a referral bonus of up to £250 for successful referrals.
