Data Centre Security Officer

We are seeking a reliable and technology-savvy Security Officer to ensure the security and safety of our Data Centre client's premises and people in the Slough and Uxbridge area.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage access control for buildings and car-parks, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors have access.
- Conduct regular patrols to deter and detect potential security threats.
- Verify and challenge ID passes with a professional and friendly approach.
- Activate and deactivate alarms, and unlock and lock buildings, rooms, external barriers, and gates to prevent unauthorized access.
- Monitor fire, security, and building systems, including CCTV.
- Identify and report Health & Safety issues and provide first aid when necessary.
- Respond to customer requests and queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents using computer- and paper-based systems.
- An SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license is mandatory.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in security.
- A minimum of five years' checkable history and references.
- Pass a criminal records check (CRC) to the required standards.
- SIA Public Space Surveillance (PSS) (CCTV) license.
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience in a similar role.
