Job Description:

• Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate costs associated with the delivery of asphalt and macadam sub-contract works, accurately quantifying materials, labour, and equipment necessary to complete the works.
  • Secure optimal prices from suppliers and sub-contractors, covering other trades such as cold-planing, thermoplastic marking, high friction surfacing, and resin finishing.
  • Work closely with the commercial team and key production personnel to prepare and submit tenders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in estimating for surfacing works associated with various construction projects, including roads, footpaths, driveways, retail parks, hospitality venues, and warehouses.
• Strong ability to analyze drawings and specifications to check quantities and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Excellent negotiation skills to obtain the best prices from suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with the commercial and production teams.
