Senior Radiographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiographer to join our Interventional team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-focused care, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient experiences.
About the RoleThe Interventional team is a core part of the trust's fit for the future vision, establishing a hub and spoke model with a busy acute site and a vibrant elective site. The team is responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of endovascular services, including cardiac angiography, and is rapidly expanding with new consultants and services.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver highly skilled patient-focused care, acting as an advocate for patient safety and excellent experiences in the trust.
- Perform high-quality general radiographic examinations and more specialized examinations within interventional and cath labs.
- Work closely with the band 7 leads to deliver an efficient, effective service, while offering guidance and support to junior colleagues.
- Participate in the 4-week rolling rota shift and on-call system, which exists within the department to provide 24/7 cover.
- DCR(R), BSc in Radiography, or equivalent overseas qualification State registration (HCPC).
- Demonstrate a high degree of practical experience and up-to-date knowledge of plain film imaging.
- Demonstrate appropriate practical experience and up-to-date knowledge of interventional/cath labs, working well both in a team and independently.
- Teach, train, and have the ability to support, develop, and motivate junior, and student radiographers and trainee assistant practitioners.
The department has a strong educational ethic, with a dedicated practice development radiographer and an industry-sponsored educational budget for interventional radiographers and nurses. This provides opportunities for growth and development, as well as a comprehensive range of endovascular services delivered by the IR and vascular surgical team collaboratively.
