Senior Supply Chain Professional - Infrastructure Opportunity

Role: Lead Procurement for 10+ Year Investment Programme

Salary: Highly Competitive Package including Car Allowance, Bonus and Excellent Pension Scheme

Client: Iconic Global Infrastructure Project with Household Name

  • Develop sourcing and contracting strategies for a 10+ year investment programme in the Northwest
  • Support the wider business in identifying sourcing and contracting opportunities
  • Provide commercial and supply chain expertise to delivery programmes
  • Lead the sourcing and contracting process, inclusive of tender pack development and evaluation
  • Ensure high-quality sourcing and contracting documentation
  • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best outcome for the business
  • Support the development of supply chain strategies and implement plans
  • Coordinate end-to-end procurement processes to deliver customer and supplier requirements
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements
  • Input into the bidding process to meet budget and business objectives
  • Report cost savings and cost avoidances
  • Apply life cycle costing principles to inform decisions

Requirements:

  • Experience in supply chain for infrastructure, especially heavy plant and equipment procurement
  • Leadership of procurements based on specification
  • Understanding of business and procurement approaches, techniques and processes
  • Contract and supplier performance management experience
  • CIPS qualification and/or MRICS
  • Public sector or regulated environments experience beneficial
