Credit Investment Director for Clean Energy Infrastructure

Nuveen, the investment management arm of TIAA, is a leading global asset manager with expertise across various asset classes, including fixed income, equities, and alternatives. As a Credit Investment Director, you will support our growing platform and contribute to a successful investment program in 2025, originating and executing new investments, and supporting the design and launch of our third fund.

  • Established a strong presence in the European market, with EUR 500m invested in two funds already raised.
  • Arranged, structured, and closed transactions worth over EUR 3.5 billion.
  • Innovation is at the core of our business, with pioneering deals such as the first asset-backed security transaction in Europe's renewable energy sector and the first Synthetic Risk Transfer in Europe's energy transition project finance space.

As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will include:

Financial toolkit & quantitative skills:
  • Demonstrate high competence in financial modelling and appraisal, with detailed knowledge of financial markets and optimal financial structures.
  • Develop and defend IC papers, DC papers, memos, independently or with limited supervision.
Project documentation review:
  • Confidently manage drafting, negotiation, and agreement of full suites of project documents.
Market knowledge & network:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry participants, including project developers, strategic partners, and other funders to originate deal leads.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, identify potential capital sources, and promote our organization's brand.

This role requires significant relevant experience in financing infrastructure/energy assets, working at either infrastructure debt funds or international banks. You should possess strong origination capabilities, negotiate and execute senior Project finance to infrastructure/energy projects, and have excellent financial modelling skills.
