Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team at Driver Hire Bury St Edmunds & Ipswich. As a Class 2 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods and materials to various locations in the East of England.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver goods and materials to customers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Cover holiday and sickness absences within the client's business
  • Work on ad-hoc bookings as required
  • Make deliveries around the East of England, typically 5-7am starts, Monday to Friday
  • Weekends and flexible days may be available

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with Cat C entitlement
  • Current CPC card and Digi Tacho
  • No more than 6 points on your driving licence
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to handle manual handling and heavy lifting tasks

Benefits:

  • Basic pay rate: £13.00 per hour (£15 per hour OT PAYE)
  • Basic pay rate: £16 per hour (£18.50 per hour OT Umbrella)
  • Weekend pay rate: £19.50 PAYE (£23.40 OT)
  • 28 days paid holiday pro rata on PAYE
  • One free CPC module per 10 shifts worked
  • Weekly pay
  • 10hr minimum guaranteed pay per day
  • Referral bonus scheme
