Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Social Worker to join our team as a Child and Family Social Worker - Safeguarding and Quality Specialist.

The successful candidate will have experience in working with children and families, including those from vulnerable groups, on a multi-disciplinary inter-agency basis. They will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and reviewing social care needs of individuals, relatives, and carers within specific care groups.

About the Role:

  • Decide which risks and care/support needs fall within agreed priorities and eligibility criteria.
  • In consultation with manager, individual, and other stakeholders, decide on the most appropriate level and type of service provision to meet identified needs/risks.
  • Decide on appropriate care plan which is within statutory and legal framework and reflects best value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake age/trafficking assessments and follow CIC procedures.
  • Arrange, provide, or purchase appropriate services/care within Department's agreed priorities and resource framework.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children and families to engage them in assessments and plans.

Requirements:

  • Qualified and registered Social Worker with experience in working with children and families.
  • Highly skilled at building meaningful relationships with children and families.
  • Current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this role is £38,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
