Welding Engineer Specialist

The Graduate Welding Engineer is a key role within our organisation, responsible for assisting the Welding Engineers on the welding discipline. This includes assisting with the specification and requirements, qualifications of welding procedures, welding equipment and consumable selection, as well as ensuring appropriate documentation is in place.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for fulfilling project welding activities in a cost-efficient, effective and safe manner. This will involve monitoring and collating data from R&D materials and welding projects, providing budget-estimates and firm offers for tenders, projects or internal clients with respect to welding activities and equipment.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in welding/materials engineering or equivalent level through experience. Experience of Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is preferred. The successful candidate must be willing to undertake offshore survival and be able to travel 20% of the time.

The successful candidate will have a duty to take care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their actions at work. They will carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, and comply with all Health, Safety & Environmental rules, policy, procedures, regulations and codes of practice.
