Job Title: Personal Assistant/Carer

We are seeking a reliable and trustworthy Personal Assistant/Carer to provide 1:1 care to access the community outside the home and sometimes stay with us in the home. Our client has complex physical and developmental needs, and it will be necessary to help them with personal care.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for taking our client out bowling or other events in the evening, taking them to a café or shopping on occasional weekend days, and assisting them to access the outdoors with wheelchair walks or walks using their walking frame. They will also assist with personal care, administer medication where prescribed, and follow Epilepsy Management Plan in the event of a seizure.

Main Duties:
  • Take our client out bowling or other events in the evening
  • Take our client to a café or shopping on occasional weekend days
  • Assist our client to access the outdoors with wheelchair walks or walks using their walking frame
  • Assist with personal care
  • Administer medication where prescribed
  • Follow Epilepsy Management Plan in the event of a seizure
Requirements:
  • DBS check will be required
  • Assistant must be honest, trustworthy, and reliable
  • Our assistant must respect our client's privacy and always maintain their dignity
  • Our assistant must be enthusiastic and flexible with a caring disposition
  • They must be able to work well independently
  • Our assistant must be able to drive and have a full clean driving licence (car available)
