About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Derby, UK. As a key member of our Food Safety and Quality Assurance team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of food safety and compliance throughout our warehouse facilities.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards, and our internal quality assurance protocols. This includes completing whole-site site audits, raising and escalating food safety and quality issues, and providing support to the wider site FSQA team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards, and internal quality assurance protocols
  • Complete whole-site site audits, including but not limited to GMP, quality compliance, ice process, and yard audits
  • Raise and escalate food safety and quality issues and ensure clear and effective communication
  • Carry out routine processes such as temperature monitoring, scale verification checks, and maintain accurate records
  • Provide support to the wider site FSQA team with food safety and quality issues
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records on production, food safety data, and analyze this data to identify trends, problems, and opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Instructions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • HACCP level 2 certification
  • Foods Safety level 2 certification
  • Some experience in a technical role within the food industry
  • Proficiency in using Google-Suite Software
  • Good knowledge of food production processes
  • Familiarity with food safety and quality standards
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally

Work Schedule

The successful candidate will be required to work a rotational shift pattern, including Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, from 07:00 to 19:00.
