About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated English Teacher to join our team at The Ridgeway School and Sixth Form College. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to students, promoting a love of learning and helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their development.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum materials and resources, ensuring they are aligned with national standards and school policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, develop new ideas, and improve teaching and learning strategies.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in English Language or Literature, or a related field.
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching English Language and Literature to secondary school students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to adapt to changing educational landscapes.
