About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to coordinate and manage the Walkham Valley Landscape Recovery Scheme development phase. This will involve producing plans that offer significant environmental outcomes alongside social and business benefits for scheme members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement plans for the WVLR development phase
  • Negotiate and consult with stakeholders to achieve environmental and social benefits
  • Work closely with the Dartmoor Hill Farming Project Land Management Advisor and line manage two WVLR dedicated staff
  • Provide advice, support, training, and expertise to the Dartmoor rural community and agricultural transition period
  • Facilitate advice and training across key business themes such as succession, agricultural transition, farm resilience, environment, funding, and wellbeing
Requirements
  • Proven project management experience and excellent administration and communications skills
  • Experience of developing good relationships with farmers and partners, providing agricultural and environmental advice, and understanding of rural issues
  • Track record of securing funding and providing support and training programmes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
