Job Summary:

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a Qualified Social Worker to join our team in Canterbury. As a key member of our Specialist Children's Services team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of children and families, providing expert guidance and support to ensure their welfare and well-being.

About the Role:

You will be working within a dynamic and supportive team, collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for children and families. Your expertise will be utilised to deliver high-quality assessments, planning, and interventions, making a tangible difference to the lives of vulnerable children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective welfare plans for children and families.
  • Collaborate with statutory agencies, voluntary organisations, carers, and families to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Prepare high-quality reports for court proceedings, adhering to strict standards.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records in line with organisational systems and protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest legislation, local policies, and procedures related to child welfare.
  • Contribute to team development and provide support to less experienced colleagues when needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent (DipSW, CQSW).
  • Registration with the Social Workers' Register.
  • Completed ASYE programme (if more than two years post-qualification).
  • Relevant experience managing Children & Families caseloads, including systemic models such as Signs of Safety.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive comprehensive training, ongoing professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.

Location:

This role is based in Canterbury, South-East England, requiring flexibility to travel across a wide geographical area.
