Job Title: Principal Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Electrical Engineering department, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements and design considerations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage EMC requirements and acceptance criteria for systems, platforms, and programs.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure EMC compliance and provide expert advice on design considerations.
  • Work closely with EMC test engineers to design and specify testing regimes to prove system compliance against relevant standards.
  • Design and implement system mitigation to meet EMC standards.
  • Mentor and coach engineers within the team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
Requirements:
  • BEng (Hons)/MEng or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional registration at Chartered level or evidence of working towards this.
  • Experience of design for EMC compliance.
  • Knowledge of EMC Defence Standards would be an advantage.
  • Proven experience and ability to coach others in a team.
