About The Role: As a Service Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping people maintain their independence by providing operational and administrative assistance to our Mobility Aids Service. Our service offers loans of wheelchairs as well as training on how to use them properly. We give people the competence to continue living independently. We can also ease people's transition to living at home again following a hospital stay.
A Day in the Life: You'll provide clerical and operational support, dealing with face-to-face queries and calls, processing invoices, and working across IT different systems. You'll work alongside our existing volunteers and staff, providing outstanding customer service when interacting with service users in person, on the phone, and online. You'll ensure that the delivery service, stock control and other administrative systems meet the needs of the service and maintain smooth and efficient operations.
What Does it Take? Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, as well as being at ease handling financial transactions. You should have sound working knowledge of Microsoft and be confident learning how to use new software and databases. You'll need confidence dealing with queries from customers, hospitals and referring agencies in a positive and professional manner. Great organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and manage your workload in a busy environment are also required.
