About This Role

XPS Pensions, a leading UK consulting and administration business, is seeking an experienced Senior Pensions Administrator to join its vibrant Reading office with hybrid working.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in pensions administration, specifically with Defined Benefit (DB) schemes, and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage and coordinate the team's workload, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively;
  2. Review and verify the accuracy of pension data, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or errors;
  3. Develop and implement processes to improve team performance and productivity;
  4. Provide guidance and training to less experienced team members, promoting continuous learning and development;
  5. Collaborate with other teams to resolve complex pension queries and issues.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A strong understanding of current pensions legislation and framework;
  • Previous experience in pensions administration, specifically with DB schemes, including leavers, retirements, deaths, transfers in, and transfers out;
  • Maths and English GCSE grade 4/C or equivalent;
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;

Salary & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including participation in an annual discretionary Bonus Scheme, 25 days' holiday plus flexibility to buy or sell holiday, flexible Bank holidays, a pension scheme with a matching contribution structure, healthcare cash plan, and flexible Benefits Scheme to support you in and out of work.
