Job Summary

Gap Personnel is seeking a skilled Plant Quality Technician to join our client's team in Wolverhampton. This permanent role offers a competitive salary of £35,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with the Quality Management system (IATF16949/ISO9001) and assist with adherence to processes.
  • Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to prevent non-conformities and provide feedback.
  • Collect data to identify issues and drive improvements.
  • Support quality-related issues with internal, supplier, and customer concerns.
  • Identify and react to non-conformances, engaging the correct escalation process.
  • Support scrap and RFT initiatives to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Conduct first-off/last-off sample approvals and apply SPC and MSA principles.
  • Support root cause and corrective actions for product quality issues using 8D methodology.
  • Participate in internal audits, including layered process audits and product/process audits.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality management systems and be able to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
