Job Description

We are seeking a Senior SHEQ Advisor to join our Digital Energies & Services (DES) business at Equans, a leading energy services contractor. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing operational safety, health, environment, and quality within our DES projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee SHEQ management across designated business unit operational areas, ensuring adherence to external and internal standards and guidelines.
  2. Ensure accurate recording of all reportable data (Near Misses, Accidents, RIDDORs, HiPos, LTI's, Incidents, LSV/MSV) and provide coaching where necessary.
  3. Develop and implement SHEQ Action Plans for each contract, fostering safer workplaces and enhancing employee engagement.
  4. Utilize findings from SHEQ Audits to improve safety and quality, providing guidance and feedback to enhance processes and systems.
  5. Mentor Safety Ambassadors and Responsible Business Champions, promoting a culture aligned with Equans' values and objectives.
  6. Facilitate training initiatives and lead investigations, ensuring comprehensive reports and recommendations to prevent future incidents.
  7. Support internal functions to ensure appropriate systems and resources are in place to manage risks effectively.
  8. Foster strategic relationships with regulatory bodies and industry forums.

Requirements:

  • NVQ 5/Diploma Level in Health and Safety management or equivalent.
  • Solid experience in construction, renewables, or project management sectors.
  • Ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively within a team.
