Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team at London Hire Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing a professional driving service to our clients and service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to local road restrictions and speed limits.
  • Ensure mandatory vehicle checks are undertaken regularly to maintain a high standard of safety.
  • Secure passengers and wheelchair users correctly in the vehicle using necessary safety equipment.
  • Ensure vehicles are fueled and ready for use, and that regular cleaning and maintenance is carried out.
  • Remove and replace seating as required, and park vehicles in designated bays.
  • Operate the passenger lift and other equipment to assist passengers safely.
  • Communicate effectively with passengers and clients in a patient and informative manner.
  • Assist the Passenger Assistant with their duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Hold a full unrestricted car driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
  • Possess a Private Hire Licence with the relevant local authority (desirable).
  • Minimum of two years' driving experience.
  • Willing to undertake and satisfy a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
