Job Summary

The Direct Support Professional at St.Amant will be responsible for providing care and support to children and youth with intellectual disabilities. This role requires a positive and energetic individual who can demonstrate a strong person-centered focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide aspects of personal care, as needed
• Participate in ongoing service planning and monitoring
• Assist individuals in developing independent life-skills
• Record and report relevant information related to life areas
• Promote community involvement and family participation

Requirements

• Grade XII Diploma or G.E.D.
• Certification in CPR and Emergency First Aid
• Successful completion of St.Amant training requirements
• Minimum of one year experience providing services to individuals with disabilities
• Knowledge of current trends and services for individuals with disabilities
• Ability to follow individualized program plans
