HGV Class 1 Driver Days Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 driver to join our team on a days-only basis. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a commercial truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
  • Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and secure it properly
  • Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving and ensure the safety of yourself, other drivers, and pedestrians
  • Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery details
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a truck driver
  • Experience with flatbed or delivery driving (preferred)
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
