Nursery Manager Job Description

At JOBS 925, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our team at Walthamstow Village Montessori Nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily running and administration of the nursery, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, including staff supervision, staff recruitment, and training.
  • Ensure effective staff deployment, maintaining staff ratios and ensuring staff are deployed effectively to carry out tasks.
  • Manage the administration and finance of the nursery, including budgeting, payroll, and record-keeping.
  • Liaise with parents, negotiating working targets and ensuring effective communication within the nursery.
  • Ensure the nursery is maintained to a high standard, including cleanliness, maintenance, and risk assessments.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the nursery meets regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report on accidents, incidents, and risk assessments.
  • Organize regular parents' evenings, publicity, open weekends, and children's outings.
