Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Rehabilitation Therapist to join our team at WellSpan Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you will provide physical therapy services to individual patients at an entry to intermediate skills level, adhering to the principles and practices of physical therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized physical therapy programs for each patient, incorporating exercises, therapeutic modalities, and procedures.
  • Direct and supervise patients in active, active-assisted, and passive exercises, muscle re-education, and functional training, utilizing appropriate equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate physical therapy activities and facilitate achievement of established goals.
  • Conduct training for medical and nursing personnel in physical therapy techniques and objectives.
  • Supervise PTAs and Rehab Aides as required by PA practice act.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting medical necessity and functional abilities.
  • Ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, quality management, safety, environment, and infection control standards.
  • Participate in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops to enhance professional growth and development.
  • Model Red Rules compliance, focusing on hand hygiene and patient identifiers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
  • Less than 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Licensed Physical Therapist and Basic Life Support certification upon hire.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets WellSpan Risk Management requirements.
