Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at the Education Authority. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards, ensuring that our students and staff receive nutritious and delicious meals.

• Prepare and cook food to meet the dietary needs of our students and staff
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Develop and implement new recipes and menu ideas to enhance our food offering

• NVQ level 2 in food preparation and cooking or equivalent qualification
• Two years' experience of food preparation and cooking within a catering establishment
• Knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)
• Ability to communicate and engage effectively with others as part of a team and with customers
• Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
• Effective organisational and planning skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Motivation towards providing excellent food and customer service
