Spectrum IT Recruitment is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Cisco networking technology, with a strong focus on designing and developing complex integrated solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and evaluating cost analyses and vendor comparisons for projects, providing 24/7 on-call support, and developing technical subject matter expertise on established and emerging network and telecommunications systems and technologies.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing complex, integrated solutions
  • Performing and evaluating cost analyses and vendor comparisons for projects
  • Providing 24/7 on-call support
  • Developing technical subject matter expertise on established and emerging network and telecommunications systems and technologies
  • Communicating system operations and environment changes
  • Adhering to SOX, PCI, and other regulatory requirements
  • Understanding and avoiding capacity, redundancy, and health constraints of network and telecommunications systems
  • Ensuring that all security requirements are met
  • Providing technical input to solution development plans and concept documents
  • Demonstrating understanding of business impacts of issues and how they relate to IT-owned solutions
  • Performing and planning major version upgrades
  • Designing and implementing effective monitoring of enterprise systems
  • Planning and managing technical projects involving other teams
  • Contributing to technical research on new technologies, processes, or procedures

The successful candidate will have several years of experience across Cisco networking technology, with extra kudos given if they have worked with Cisco Nexus, ACI, Cisco ASA, Cisco Wireless, Cisco DMVPN, and MPLS.
