Care Specialist

Are you passionate about supporting people with disabilities? At Leonard Cheshire, we're looking for a dedicated Care Specialist to join our team.

As a Care Specialist, you will provide exceptional support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live fulfilling lives. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting with daily life tasks, including personal care, medication, and mealtimes.
  • Escorting and assisting individuals in and around the service, at external events, and appointments.
  • Supporting our Person-Centred approach, encouraging maximum independence and helping individuals achieve their aspirations.
  • Maintaining up-to-date and accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Flexibility to work creatively with individuals and their families.
  • Ideal experience in personal care (not essential).
  • Ability to work under pressure and as a team.
  • Flexibility to work within rostered hours and participate in an on-call rota where required.
