About the JobThis is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Service Engineer (Mechanical Equipment) to join our team. As a Global Field Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining mechanical equipment, including pumps and vacuum systems.
You will work alongside a team of experienced engineers, based in our UK HQ and manufacturing facility in Manchester. The role requires travel to various locations worldwide, including Asia, USA, and Europe.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair faults or issues with mechanical equipment, including troubleshooting, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
- Servicing exchanged equipment in-house
- Replace or repair worn or defective components as necessary to maintain machine reliability
- Undertaking retrofits and upgrades to existing machines to enhance capability and performance
- Provide on-site and remote support to customers, helping them operate and maintain the equipment effectively
- Generate technical visit reports
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
- Time served apprenticeship or HND or Degree qualified in a Mechanical role
- Experience working on Pumps and/or Vacuum systems
- Able to work abroad and willing to travel
- Pre-Assembly experience Assembly drawing knowledge is essential
- Self-motivated and organised with an excellent work ethic
- Ability to solve problems under pressure in a quick and efficient manner
- High level of attention to detail
