Job Title: Research Associate – Antibody DiscoveryAbout the Role

Next-Link is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our team in antibody discovery. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for driving our innovative antibody projects forward from the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Using exceptional practical skills, excellent communication, and team working abilities to drive our innovative antibody projects forward from the laboratory.
  • Support immunisation-based antibody discovery within a team environment.
  • Perform antibody binding assays using flow cytometry and ELISA.
  • Carry out mammalian cell transfections and cell culture.
  • Generate mRNA-LNP as a reagent for immunisation.
  • Help to organise the immunisation timetable for various projects.
  • Be responsible for clearly presenting data in a variety of meeting situations internally.
  • Provide intellectual and practical input to develop and implement more efficient processes.
  • Contribute to basic lab organisation and maintenance duties such as stock taking and aliquoting reagents.
Requirements

We are looking for a graduate scientist with a strong academic record and laboratory experience. Industrial experience is preferred but not essential. Experience with some of the following techniques would be advantageous: Mammalian cell culture, preparation of cell suspensions from mammalian tissues, Flow cytometry, ELISA, cell imaging, PCR, cloning, and working with mRNA. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational, communication, and inter-personal skills, as well as a passion for delivering innovative new medicines for patients suffering with serious disease.
