We are seeking a skilled Electrical and Mechanical Engineer to join our team at White & Clayton Recruitment. As an Electrical and Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for performing electrical and engineering maintenance with a focus on safe plant operations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance: Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our plant.
- Record Keeping: Accurately record all breakdowns and service work, maintaining detailed information for each machine and service sheet.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the team to contribute to problem-solving and maintain a proactive approach.
- Planned Maintenance: Conduct planned maintenance as directed by the Engineering Manager and Shift Leader.
- Continuous Improvement: Support the continuous improvement of departmental operations and functions.
- Food Hygiene Standards: Adhere to food hygiene standards at all times.
- Effective Communication: Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
- Inventory Management: Book out parts from engineering stores according to procedures.
- KPIs and Improvement: Understand engineering and operational KPIs and suggest improvements to Shift Leaders.
- Company Policies: Follow company policies and best practices consistently.
- Housekeeping Standards: Maintain housekeeping standards under the clean-as-you-go policy for your area and across the site.
- Experience: Experience of electrical / mechanical engineering.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of FMCG industry.
- Quality Standards: Understanding of retailer products and quality standards preferable.
- Task Management: Experience of successfully managing tasks/projects to completion.
- Computer Literacy: Computer Literate.
- Personal Qualities: Reliable, conscientious, self-motivated and professional.
- Planning and Organisation: Effective planning and organisation skills.
- Communication: Effective communication - written, verbal and non-verbal.
- Problem Solving: Effective problem solving skills and ability to influence solutions.
