Systems Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Systems Development Manager to lead the implementation of our Housing Management Systems. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the NEC Housing system and its modules, including Housing Advice, Allocations, Planned Maintenance, Assets, and Risk Management.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the solution design, parameter design, and configuration of the NEC Housing system to meet the specific needs of the local authority and module leads.
- Map legacy data to NEC data and support the council IT team's build activity by advising on build steps and actions.
- Conduct detailed analysis of current module-specific processes to identify requirements and areas for improvement.
- Support SBC business users and module leads during NEC-led workshops, challenging appropriately and providing the benefit of your experience of similar implementations.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, including business users, housing management teams, IT, NEC consultants, and external vendors.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to ensure all parties are informed and engaged in the implementation process.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, risks, and issues.
- Perform detailed technical analysis to understand business needs and ensure the system meets them.
- Provide guidance and advice on solution design and module-specific good practice.
- Develop proposals and presentations to help guide the business to sound decisions.
- Resolve any technical and functional issues that arise during the implementation process.
- Support system testing and quality assurance to ensure the system meets all functional and technical requirements.
- Develop and deliver coaching and training for end-users to ensure they are proficient in using the new system.
- Provide support and troubleshooting during the project and post-go-live phase.
- Create comprehensive documentation, including user manuals and technical guides.
- Full system lifecycle experience of Housing Management Systems.
- Large project implementations of Housing Management Systems in Social Housing Local Authorities.
- Deep experience of the following Northgate/NEC modules: Housing Advice, Allocations, Planned Maintenance, Assets, Assets Asbestos, Risk Management, Component Accounting, CRM, Customer Services, Data Warehouse, Dashboards Allocations, Dashboards Homelessness, Dashboards Compliance, Asset Performance, Organisation Portal.
