Job Title: Accounting Analyst

As an Accounting Analyst, you'll perform higher-level clerical and routine accounting tasks in support of a business unit or legal entity. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Posting entries, verifying, and reconciling input to financial reporting systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial processes.
  • Processing payments and assisting in preparation of billings and other financial reports, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders.
  • Providing examples of shifting from task to task, demonstrating your ability to adapt to changing priorities and workflows.

Some of your key tasks will include:

Accounts Payable (A-P)
  • Document current accounting practices and closing cycle procedures and requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist in processing discounts and special invoices, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Process accounts payable transactions as a regular part of daily work, maintaining accurate records and adhering to deadlines.
Accounts Receivable (A-R)
  • Perform major types of accounts receivable transactions, handling customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Maintain accounts receivable records as a regular part of daily work, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
Financial and Accounting Systems
  • Name core financial and accounting applications, familiarizing yourself with our software and systems.
  • Identify key functions of major financial systems, understanding how they contribute to our financial processes.
General Ledger (G-L)
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy of one or more general ledger categories as a regular part of daily work, spotting errors and discrepancies.
  • Analyze the purpose, content, and distribution of standard G-L reports, interpreting data to inform business decisions.
