We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team at Barclays Bank. As a key member of our digital infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and improving software solutions that provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

• Software Development: Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Code Quality and Knowledge Sharing: Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality, and contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Security and Compliance: Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

• Leadership and Risk Management: Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment, and manage and mitigate risks through assessment.
• Strategic Thinking: Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organization's functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business, and create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with other areas of work, for business-aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies, and seek out, build, and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
