About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Motor Vehicle teacher to join our team at Leeds City College. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our students in the field of Motor Vehicle.

As a Motor Vehicle teacher, you will be responsible for teaching learners across all modes of attendance and levels of Motor Vehicle, including level 1 to L3 and apprentices. You will also be required to teach a range of Motor Vehicle Service, PHEV, Electrical Vehicle, and Repair courses.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for Motor Vehicle and the ability to enthuse and motivate young technicians of the future. Previous experience of working with young people would be advantageous. You must have the drive, determination, and desire to make a difference to young people's lives through education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and teach on a range of Motor Vehicle Service, PHEV, Electrical Vehicle, and Repair courses;
  • Contribute to aspirational teaching, learning, and assessment;
  • Keep accurate records for learners' progress in College;

About You

  • The ideal candidate will hold a Motor Vehicle qualification or equivalent qualification or must have a minimum of 2 years of trial experience;
  • You must hold a full teaching qualification or be willing to work towards the teaching qualification;
  • To have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to effectively motivate and inspire others;
  • Be a good team player with a flexible approach to working hours, as some evening work will be required and the ability to undertake the associated administration tasks;
