Job Summary

Company is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design and Certification Specialist to join their UK CAA Part 21J Design Organisation. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for working on aircraft and mission system modification programmes.

Key Responsibilities

Essential:

  1. Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of specialist areas such as structures, mission systems, or avionics.
  2. Lead the design and integration of complex projects on aircraft under civil or military airworthiness regulations.
  3. Ensure the generation of accurate and complete design data packages.

Desirable:

  1. Experience working on King Air, Piper PA-31, 727, 757 aircraft.
Certification Requirements

Essential:

  1. Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of Part 21, CS/FAR 23 and 25.
  2. Compile, technically check, and verify compliance of certification programs and documentation.
  3. Verify or check electrical load analysis, equipment assessments, EWIS and EZAP analysis, Electromagnetic and Ground Function Test Plans and Reports (or structural substantiations, weight and balance reports, or system safety assessments and functional hazard assessments).

Desirable:

  1. Understanding of DAOS.
  2. Knowledge of AS9100.
