Job Title: Distribution Officer

Job Summary:

Venator is seeking a skilled Distribution Officer to join their team at the Greatham site. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring adequate stocks of raw materials are available to meet the site production plan, while also ensuring timely and efficient product dispatch to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organise and carry out raw material requirements planning (MRP) activities, including forecasting, scheduling, SAP reconciliation, and calling off supplies to ensure adequate stocks of raw materials are available.
• Coordinate and carry out raw material inbound receipt, handling, storage, stock checks, stock control, and review activities in support of an effective MRP process.
• Coordinate the timely communication of raw material and EHS delivery information to relevant personnel.
• Lead, facilitate, and support the investigation of raw material non-compliances, ensuring timeliness, thoroughness, and effectiveness.
• Carry out invoice validation and investigation to maintain payment runs.
• Coordinate the successful resolution of material-related issues, while maintaining positive relationships with drivers, haulers, material supplier companies, and plant teams.
• Monitor the EHS and service performance of haulers, suppliers, and service providers, and share the information with the purchasing team for supplier/contract reviews.
• Organise and carry out selection, preparation, dispatch, documentation, and QA activities to ensure products are distributed to satisfy the logistics plan, while ensuring product EHS requirements are met.
• Liaise with third-party service providers, plant teams, and the supply chain function to ensure materials are dispatched and distributed on time and in full.
• Support the investigation of product complaints and non-compliances in line with QA processes, ensuring timeliness, thoroughness, and effectiveness.
• Carry out stock control at Greatham (inc external warehouses).
• Organise day-to-day distribution team activities when the distribution manager is not present, including attending the site manufacturing meeting, planning and organising warehouse team resources to ensure product is ready for dispatch in line with supply chain standards.

Candidate Requirements:

• Further education qualification, e.g. HND or equivalent in a relevant subject, e.g. business administration.
• Effective planning and organisational skills are essential for this job, as is an attention to detail.
• Experience of working within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• The job holder must be proficient in business IT systems, e.g. SAP, Excel.
