Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Claims Agent to join our team, playing a key role in resolving customer claims efficiently and effectively. As a Customer Claims Resolution Specialist, you will administer the processing of customer claims for lost and damaged parcels, issuing financial settlements where applicable and communicating with customers to ensure their expectations are met.
Responsibilities
- Validate new claim requests against clearly defined policies and issue claims forms to customers as necessary
- Verify returned claim forms against policies to determine liability for loss or damage in transit, issuing settlement or rejection as appropriate
- Manage customer interactions via phone and email to deliver excellent customer service
- Complete ad-hoc tasks related to claims processing as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced customer service environment
- Strong communication skills with a confident telephone manner and ability to build rapport with customers
- Polite and professional demeanor at all times, with a willingness to go above and beyond to exceed customer expectations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent administration skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google programs
- Demonstrated self-motivation and initiative to effectively problem-solve
