We are seeking a Senior Estates Surveyor to join our team at National Highways. As a key member of our Business Services division, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the organization's estate reflects its current needs and supports the company's goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic property advice across National Highways offices and operational estate. This will involve supporting the provision of property acquisitions and disposals, as well as landlord and tenant matters.

You will work closely with project managers and their teams to provide reliable, accurate, and professionally-sound property advice. Your ability to assimilate and convey complex information to a variety of audiences will be essential in this role.

To be successful, you will need to be a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with extensive experience of estates/property strategy, property acquisitions, disposals, and landlord and tenant matters. You will also need to have evidence of successfully delivering estates projects to time.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of property matters, from acquiring sites and buildings for our occupation to disposing of surplus land. You will be responsible for managing specific activities of the company's property supply chain, including professional real estate advisors, agents, and solicitors.

We are looking for someone who is able to build and manage strong relationships with project managers and their teams. You will need to be able to influence and negotiate effectively, and have a strong understanding of the property industry.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advice on property acquisitions and disposals
  • Supporting the provision of strategic property advice across National Highways offices and operational estate
  • Managing specific activities of the company's property supply chain
  • Building and managing strong relationships with project managers and their teams
