The Financial Management department at Bank of China is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the bank's financial activities. As an Assistant - Payments, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing supplier invoices received from internal departments. You will work closely with the team and other departments within the Financial Management division to contribute to the daily operations of the bank.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with the bank's internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the first line of defence to manage Operational Risk.
  • Verify and process supplier invoices for Bank of China's entities.
  • Maintain accurate records and update systems accordingly.
  • Assist internal departments with payment status inquiries.
  • Cover other team members as required.

Requirements

  • Degree educated in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Accounting qualification is preferred.
  • Strong accounting knowledge.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international payments.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and legislative requirements and industry practices for Financial Crime disciplines.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly in the use of Excel.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Fluency in English is desirable.
