Financial Modelling Assistant Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Modelling Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team at Grant Thornton.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial modelling, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients. The role involves developing and maintaining complex financial models, providing expert advice to clients, and contributing to the growth and development of our financial modelling capability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-quality financial models for clients across various sectors.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to junior team members on financial modelling best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver client projects and achieve business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to enhance our financial modelling services.
  • Contribute to the development of new business opportunities and client relationships.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior financial modelling position within a Big 4 or similar firm.
  • Excellent Excel skills, including advanced techniques and programming languages (e.g., VBA, Python).
  • A strong understanding of financial modelling best practices and industry regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • A degree in a numerate field (e.g., accounting, finance, economics) and/or professional qualification (e.g., ACA, CA).
