Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Red Roof, a residential care home in Tadley, Hampshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Home Manager in the operation of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our residents.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of adult social care, supervisory experience, and a professional approach with the ability to organise and prioritise. They will also have a good knowledge of relevant codes of practice and legislation.

The role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate and lead a staffing team under the direction of the Home Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inductions and supervisions, conducting regular team meetings, delegating responsibilities amongst the team, and supporting the Home Manager in maintaining appropriate levels of staffing by planning and managing a rota.

Responsibilities
  • Identify residents' emotional, physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs and make appropriate decisions for action in consultation with the management team.
  • Coordinate and lead the staffing team, under the direction of the Home Manager.
  • Support the Home Manager by effectively conducting inductions and supervisions.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and delegate responsibilities amongst the team.
  • Support the Home Manager in maintaining appropriate levels of staffing by planning and managing a rota.
  • Ensure staff are up to date with training.
  • Actively assist and support the Home Manager with investigations, disciplinaries and grievances.
