The Candidate:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Biomedical Scientist to join our team in the Immunohaematology Reference Laboratory of the Glasgow Transfusion Centre. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing specialized services for hospitals across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in a red cell reference laboratory, providing specialized services for hospitals across Scotland.
  • Participate in a 24/7 shift roster, working collaboratively with a team of highly skilled and motivated Biomedical Scientists.
  • Undergo training as required for the post, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
