Job Title: Director of Finance and Resources

YMCA Liverpool is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance and Resources to join our senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial planning and budgeting processes to ensure the organization's financial goals are met.
  • Lead the development and implementation of financial systems and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide financial guidance and advice to senior management and staff to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Manage the organization's banking and payment systems to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports and statements to ensure timely and accurate information is provided to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and bankers.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) or significant experience in a senior finance role.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of accounting, budgeting, and auditing principles and procedures.
  • High-level business and financial modeling management experience, including governmental accounting, legal, and statutory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience using and optimizing financial accounting systems.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
