Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions for a variety of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components for energy-related projects
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design calculations, basis of analysis, and safety case reports
  • Ensure compliance with relevant design codes, regulations, and industry standards
Requirements:
  • Degree-qualified mechanical engineer (or equivalent qualification)
  • Experience working with design codes typical for the engineering industry (ASME, Eurocodes, BS EN13001, RCC-M, etc.)
  • Proven track record of leading successful engineering projects with varying team sizes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
