Job Summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team at West Cumberland Hospital.

This is a unique opportunity to expand your clinical skills and work in a supportive and enthusiastic environment in a stunning part of the country.

The newly created post is located within the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, which provides a variety of healthcare services covering the Lake District and is also close to the beautiful Scottish Borders.

As a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with Medicines Management Technicians and Pharmacists to deliver a high-quality clinical pharmacy service to patients.

You will progress to a band 7 post following an appropriate training period and competency assessment, which will include studying for a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy practice.

There will be the opportunity to study for a prescribing qualification or other postgraduate qualifications as necessary.

Main Duties of the Job

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, along with a strong team spirit, and will be able to work independently with support from experienced pharmacists and medicines management technicians.

There will be an on-call and 7-day working commitment.
