Coleg Cambria is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our team on a full-time, fixed-term basis at our Deeside site. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality childcare and education to our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all activities associated with the care and development of children, including their general health, welfare, safety, and basic physical development.
  • Act as a key worker and assist with the organisation, planning, and preparation for meals, activities, rest times, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Provide a warm and welcoming environment for children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve high-quality childcare and education.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified to NNEB, BTEC, or NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare Studies, with prior experience of working in a childcare establishment.
  • Knowledge of child welfare issues and understanding of the importance of setting goals and objectives.
  • Basic food hygiene and a first aid certificate would be preferable, although not essential as full training can be provided.
  • Enthusiasm, flexibility, and ability to work independently.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
